PCB discloses monthly salaries of Pakistani cricketers

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has disclosed the details of players’ earnings under their central contracts.

This announcement coincides with the team facing criticism following their early exit from the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024.

Reports also indicate that the board is considering changes to the structure of these central contracts.

As a result of below-par performances, certain players are expected to be demoted to lower categories, while others may lose their central contracts entirely.

In Category A, top players like Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and star fast bowler Shaheen Afridi receive Rs4.5 million per month.

Category B includes players such as Shadab Khan, Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Naseem Shah, who earn Rs3 million per month.

Category C and D players receive monthly salaries ranging from Rs750,000 to Rs1.5 million. Notable players in these categories include Imad Wasim, Iftikhar Ahmed, Hasan Ali, and Saim Ayub.

These figures reflect only the base monthly salaries and do not include additional earnings from sponsorships, match fees, win bonuses, and income from Test, ODI, and T20I matches.
