PAK vs IND: Harsha Bhogle reveals major reason behind Indian dominance over Pakistan

NEW YORK:Harsha Bhogle, renowned Indian journalist and commentator, shed light on why Pakistan has consistently failed to best its arch-rival India, as both teams gear up for a showdown at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York on Sunday.

In an interview with Cricbuzz, the 62-year-old attributed India’s dominance over Pakistan on the cricket field to a lack of self-belief within the Pakistani camp. He remarked that following a period of having a formidable team, Pakistan went through a phase where they doubted their ability to emerge victorious against India.

Bhogle emphasized that since 2010, there has always been a standout performer from the Indian side during matches against Pakistan, most notably Virat Kohli. He suggested that Pakistan’s admiration for Kohli may have contributed to their sense of inferiority on the field.

Reflecting on the history of T20 World Cup clashes between the two teams, Bhogle noted India’s impressive record of six victories out of seven encounters. He highlighted Pakistan’s lone triumph in the 2021 T20 World Cup, where they secured a remarkable 10-wicket victory over India, led by Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam.
