FAISALABAD (WS News) – Fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi’s participation in the playoff stage of the Champions Cup is contingent upon medical clearance.
Afridi sustained a knee injury after being struck by the ball during the match against the Dolphins, which has caused him difficulty in running.
Sources indicated that Shaheen was feeling better, and the Pakistan team’s physiotherapist, Cliff Deacon, was closely monitoring his injury.
Today (Tuesday), doctors and physiotherapists will assess Shaheen’s fitness during the Lions’ practice session.
The first eliminator between the Lions and Stallions is scheduled tomorrow (Wednesday).
