ISLAMABAD (WSN) – The Islamabad administration has approved the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rally scheduled for September 8, but has imposed strict conditions.

The District Magistrate of Islamabad has issued a notification outlining 40 specific directives. This notification rescinds the previous No Objection Certificate (NOC) from August 22 due to protests by religious groups. The administration will ensure security for the rally on September 8.

The notification stipulates that participants must not violate any citizen’s fundamental rights. It requires attendees to assemble by 4pm and conclude the rally by 7pm. The responsibility for dispersing the crowd after the event falls on the rally organizers.

Prohibited items include sticks and weapons of any kind, and speeches targeting state institutions or sit-ins are banned. The organizers are also responsible for the safety of all participants.

A list of speakers must be submitted to the administration 12 hours in advance, and the NOC may be revoked if there are any security concerns.

The PTI had previously announced the postponement of Thursday’s rally in Islamabad. On Wednesday, the Islamabad administration initially denied permission for the rally in the federal capital, but the PTI rejected this decision and rescheduled the rally for Tarnol Chowk on Peshawar Road at 4pm on Thursday.
