Pakistan will take on Sri Lanka in the Women’s Asia Cup semi-final today.

The stage is set for an exciting clash as Pakistan Women and Sri Lanka Women go head-to-head in the second semifinal of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2024 today, July 26. The match is scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm local time.

After a defeat to India, Pakistan bounced back with impressive wins over Nepal and the United Arab Emirates, securing their place in the semifinals. The opening duo of Gull Feroza and Muneeba Ali has formed a strong partnership, and the bowling lineup, led by Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sundhu, Tuba Hassan, and Syeda Aroob Shah, has been effective.

Pakistan captain Nida Dar is confident in her team’s performance. “After our initial setback, we have regained our form and are showing improvement,” she stated. “We are entering the match with full determination to give our best.”

As hosts, Sri Lanka had a commanding group stage, remaining unbeaten. Their batting, spearheaded by Chamari Athapaththu, has been exceptional, and spinner Kavisha Dilhari has taken crucial wickets in recent games.

Pakistan will aim to play aggressively to overcome the hosts and secure a spot in the final.
