England skipper aims for series win against Pakistan

MULTAN (WS News) – England’s captain, Ollie Pope, has expressed his determination to win the upcoming series against Pakistan, just as they did previously.

Speaking at a press conference in Multan, Pope emphasised the hard work put in by senior players and mentors, stating that the team was dedicated to delivering outstanding performances.

He mentioned the team’s spin bowlers, indicating that they planned to utilize them effectively.

Pope acknowledged the differences in playing conditions between Sri Lanka and Pakistan, noting that the pitch was grassy and they will adapt their bowling strategies accordingly.

He highlighted the impressive contributions of James Anderson in the last series, although he was not part of the current squad, and expressed confidence in the capabilities of the players available.

Additionally, Pope noted that bowlers like Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah, along with batsman Babar Azam, were formidable opponents, making Pakistan a strong team to contend with.
