Rohit Sharma’s Smashing Reply To Pakistan Great Inzamam-ul-Haq On Ball-Tampering Allegation

If Arshdeep can make the ball reverse swing in the 15th over, then significant work has been done on the ball,” Inzamam stated, comparing it to the scrutiny Pakistan would face if their bowlers were in a similar situation. He noted that while bowlers like Jasprit Bumrah naturally induce swing due to their bowling style, others achieving it could suggest artificial preparation of the ball.

Reacting to Inzamam’s comments, Indian captain Rohit Sharma dismissed the accusation during a pre-match media interaction, attributing the reverse swing to the dry conditions typical of the tournament’s venues. He suggested that understanding the local conditions was crucial and implied that such swings were common under the current circumstances.

India recently defeated Australia by 24 runs in the T20 World Cup, with Arshdeep Singh’s three crucial wickets playing a pivotal role in restricting Australia’s chase of India’s total of 205 runs.
