Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has urged the nation to embrace hard work, integrity, and enthusiasm to transform the country’s destiny and set it on a path of development and prosperity.
In his speech during the Independence Day ceremony in Islamabad on Wednesday, the Prime Minister highlighted the need for self-reflection to address past mistakes and initiate a new, energetic effort to resolve current crises.
He committed to working tirelessly to tackle inflation and high electricity costs while revitalizing Pakistan’s economy. Sharif emphasized that lowering inflation and energy bills is crucial for advancing agriculture and industry.
The Prime Minister also promised that the nation would soon receive positive news regarding a reduction in electricity prices and announced an upcoming five-year economic plan.
Additionally, Sharif encouraged the youth to focus on their education, training, and skills, and to resist falling prey to chaos, anarchy, and deception.
He noted that adversaries of Pakistan have been using digital propaganda to mislead young people, and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the just causes of Kashmir and Palestine.
Finally, Shehbaz Sharif honored the contributions of laborers, daily-wagers, engineers, doctors, teachers, students, writers, journalists, and sportspeople, as well as paying tribute to the courageous security forces and law enforcement agencies for their sacrifices in combating terrorism.
