Jaiswal and Gill guided India to a comprehensive 10-wicket victory against Zimbabwe.

Opener Yashasvi Jaiswal played a brilliant innings of 93 off 53 balls as India secured a commanding 10-wicket victory over Zimbabwe at Harare Sports Club on Saturday. This win has given India an unassailable 3-1 lead in the five-match T20 international series.

Despite missing several regular players, India chose to bowl first after winning the toss. They restricted Zimbabwe to 152 for seven in their 20 overs. In response, India comfortably chased down the target with 28 balls to spare.

This is only the second time India has achieved a 10-wicket victory in T20 internationals, with the previous instance also against Zimbabwe at the same venue back in 2016.

Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza, originally from Pakistan, top-scored for his team with 46 runs off 28 balls. The home side got off to a solid start with openers Wessly Madhevere (25) and Tadiwanashe Marumani (32), adding 63 runs for the first wicket. However, they lost wickets at regular intervals in the latter half of their innings while trying to accelerate. Indian seamer Khaleel Ahmed was the standout bowler, finishing with figures of 2-32.

With a modest target to chase, Jaiswal and captain Shubman Gill (58 off 39 balls) quickly took control, scoring boundaries at will and guiding India to victory.

The final match of the series will be played at the same venue on Sunday.
