ICC approves PCB’s schedule for Champions Trophy 2025

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finalized and shared the schedule for the upcoming Champions Trophy, slated to be hosted by Pakistan next year, with cricket boards of participating nations scheduled for next week.

According to sources, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had submitted the schedule to the ICC several weeks ago, which has been reviewed and confirmed without any alterations.

The Champions Trophy is scheduled to take place from February 19, 2025, to March 9, 2025, with participation confirmed from seven countries: India, Australia, England, South Africa, Bangladesh, New Zealand, and Afghanistan.

Sources further revealed that matches between Pakistan and India, longstanding rivals, will be held in Lahore, with the final of the tournament also scheduled at the same venue.

The PCB has reportedly received indications of potential cooperation from the Indian team regarding their participation in the Champions Trophy. However, no official statement has been issued on this matter.

Sources emphasized that given the readiness of other teams to participate, it may prove challenging for India to abstain from the event.
