Pakistan National Football team faces travel disruption

The Pakistan National Football Team is gearing up for its final away match of the FIFA World Cup Qualifier Round 2 against Tajikistan on June 11 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. However, the team has encountered significant travel disruptions due to unexpected events.

As per the press release from PFF, the team’s planned flight with a private airline was canceled due to a bird strike incident, resulting in two delays before eventual cancellation. Consequently, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has approached Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) for a chartered flight. Despite ongoing negotiations, PFF is yet to receive a positive response from PIA authorities.

Presently, only 8 members of the 35-member squad have reached Tajikistan. The rest of the squad remains in uncertainty as endeavors to secure either commercial or chartered flights continue. PFF is making every effort to facilitate the travel of the remaining squad members to ensure their timely arrival in Tajikistan for the crucial match.
