PCB refuses Australia’s offer for tri-series with India

Mohsin Naqvi, Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), declined an offer from Nick Hockley, Chief Executive of Cricket Australia, regarding a tri-series involving India. Naqvi stated that Pakistan has more favorable alternatives available and emphasized that the Pakistan team is already scheduled to tour Australia in November this year.

Cricket Australia had proposed the tri-nation series contingent on both India and Pakistan cricket boards agreeing to participate. A similar proposal was also made by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB), but there has been no significant progress on this matter thus far.

Meanwhile, Naqvi reiterated that all matches of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 will be hosted in Pakistan. He expressed hope that India would participate in the cricket event, noting positive indications in this regard.

Naqvi also mentioned that no complimentary tickets will be issued for the Champions Trophy, stressing the importance of boosting revenue through ticket sales.
