Babar, Rizwan and Shaheen await NOC for foreign league

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has not yet issued No Objection Certificates (NOCs) to Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Shaheen Shah Afridi for their participation in the Global T20 Canada league.

All three players have already signed agreements to play in the foreign league but are awaiting approval from the PCB.

Sources indicated that the PCB has reached out to the International Cricket Council (ICC) to confirm the affiliation of the GT20 league. The decision regarding issuing NOCs will be made based on the ICC’s response.

Previously, the PCB had issued NOCs to other players, including Fakhar Zaman, Haris Rauf, and Mohammad Amir, allowing them to participate in various cricket leagues.

This development follows the return of Pakistani players from the West Indies after an early exit from the T20 World Cup 2024.

The PCB has granted NOCs to several cricketers for upcoming leagues:

Abrar Ahmed – Major League Cricket – 4 to 28 July
Fakhar Zaman – Caribbean Premier League – 29 August to 6 October
Haris Rauf – Major League Cricket – 5 to 28 July
Mohammad Amir – County Cricket – 4 to 20 July
Mohammad Haris, Mohammad Hasnain, Salman Ali Agha, Shadab Khan – Lanka Premier League – 1 to 21 July
Sharjeel Khan, Sohaib Maqsood – World Championship of Legends – 3 to 13 July
Usama Mir – The Hundred – 23 July to 20 August
Zaman Khan – Major League Cricket – 4 to 28 July
